Vinyasa

This modern take on the postures of yoga is most popular here in the West for its accessibility and engaging qualities. Vinyasa means "to place in a special way." In this practice of yoga, poses are linked breath to movement to create a flow of connected postures. It's easy to learn, but physically challenging. Ever-changing sequences keep the experiences fresh while fostering the concept of a moving meditation to compliment our active lifestyles. This practice excels at training oneself to be present. It is accesible for all levels and promotes muscle-strengthening, resilience, calm, breath control, flexibility and coordination.

Yoga Sculpt

The sculpt practice takes a very basic selection of yoga poses in a repeating sequence while adding weight training, cardio, and core specific work to the mix. This fast-paced, high-energy practice is more akin to a modern group fitness experience that provides an intense workout through the lens of a Vinyasa class. The class is all levels, but it is recommended that you have taken yoga before as the pacing of the practice is much quicker and very basic yoga knowledge makes the experience more effective. Main benefits are strength-training, endurance, breath control, calorie burning and metabolism boosting.

Restorative or Yin

In the practice of yoga the majority of the physical disciplines are of the Yang style or active, muscle engaging movement. On the other side of the coin is Yin. In Yin style or restorative yoga the goal is to prop the body up into various positions and allow gravity to work for us in opening up tight joints. This practice features long holds that are perfect for stretching ligaments and improving overall mobility. Creating true flexibility which in turn helps reduce fatigue, a regular Yin practice can decrease the likelihood of injury during more active endevours. All levels are welcome and due to the slower pace, it makes for a great practice to "get the feel" of what taking a yoga class is for first timers. Benefits include: flexibility, injury prevention and restoration, deep meditation, stress relief and overall boost to well-being.
